# Transfers

> Tools for NGN deposits and payouts to banks and Monei users

## generate\_deposit\_link

Creates a hosted payment link the user can open to deposit NGN into their Monei wallet.

**Parameters:**

## check\_deposit\_status

Returns the current status of a deposit by reference.

**Parameters:**

## get\_banks

Returns all supported Nigerian banks with their codes and names.

**Use when:** The user asks what banks are supported, or when you need a bank code before a transfer and the user has not provided one.

The bank code is what gets passed to transfer endpoints, not the bank name.

## verify\_bank\_account

Validates a Nigerian bank account number and returns the registered account holder name.

Always call this before sending NGN to a bank account. Show the resolved name to the user and ask them to confirm before proceeding.

**Parameters:**

## send\_naira\_to\_bank

Sends NGN from the user's Monei wallet to any Nigerian bank account.

**Required sequence before calling this tool:**

1. Call `verify_bank_account` to resolve the account name
2. Show the user the amount, bank, account number, and resolved account name
3. Ask for explicit confirmation and the user's transaction PIN
4. Only then call this tool

**Parameters:**

## send\_naira\_to\_user

Sends NGN directly to another Monei user identified by email or phone number.

**Parameters:**
