# Self-Hosting

> Run your own instance of the Monei MCP server

You can run the Monei MCP server yourself if you prefer to host it on your own infrastructure.

## Docker

```bash theme={null}
docker run \
  -e MONEI_API_KEY=your_key \
  -e MONEI_ENV=live \
  -p 3000:3000 \
  ghcr.io/mrmonei/mcp-server
```

The server will be available at `http://localhost:3000/sse`.

## From source

```bash theme={null}
git clone https://github.com/Mr-Money01/mcp-server
cd mcp-server
npm install
npm run build

MONEI_API_KEY=your_key MONEI_ENV=live node dist/index.js
```

## Environment variables

| Variable | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| MONEI\_API\_KEY | Yes | | Your Monei API key |
| MONEI\_ENV | No | sandbox | Set to live for production |
| PORT | No | 3000 | Port the server listens on |
| MCP\_BASE\_URL | No | [https://mcp.monei.cc](https://mcp.monei.cc) | Public base URL used for OAuth redirect URIs |

## Deploy on Railway

The repository includes a Dockerfile ready for Railway deployment.

1. Fork the repository
2. Create a new Railway project from your fork
3. Set the environment variables in the Railway dashboard
4. Deploy

Railway will pick up the Dockerfile automatically and deploy the server with a public URL.

## Health check

The server exposes a health endpoint you can use to verify it is running:
